If you have wall-to-wall carpeting you probably can't change it. If you have bare floors, you want something warm to step on when you get out of bed. In either case, an area rug will be a great addition to the room. Inexpensive bound remnants of carpet in standard sizes such as 5'x8' or 6'x9' can be bought at some of the same places you found bedding, or in home improvement stores, carpet stores, and even the Salvation Army! (I found two wonderful 5x8 carpets at a yard sale-check them out too!) If you can find a rug in one of the other colors from your bedding in a medium shade, that will work well. Too dark or too light a color will show dirt, dust, spilled crumbs, etc... A couple of "scatter" size rugs also work well instead of one larger one. Put one next to the bed, and the other near your desk or dresser. (We'll get into where those are in a minute.)
